Montgomery Pastor Makes Scandalous Confessions

We often hear that pastors are men first and servants of God second. Of course this is often said when one has been caught in a sinful act or posture. But what happened in one Montgomery church makes even the most forgiving raise an eyebrow.

Apparently, Pastor Juan McFarland of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church has confessed to having sex in the church (some of the women were even congregants), using illegal drugs, and using church money set aside for trips he's never taken.  He also admitted to being HIV-positive.

Now, many of us would want to extend grace to him and pray that he is forgiven and changes.  Others would say he doesn't deserve the pastoral position.  What do I say?  I say thank God I'm not a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Montgomery. What do YOU say?
