Tuscaloosa welcomes a new restaurant to town: Mooyah Burgers, Fries, and Shakes opens its location on The Strip this week! Mooyah is known for their ah-moo-zing (see what I did there?) burgers and more, and we're psyched to welcome them to the Druid City.

Mooyah, a fast-casual chain based out of Plano, Texas, already has two locations in Birmingham, so a moo-ve (sorry, but these cow puns are writing themselves, people) to Tuscaloosa was only natural. The new restaurant is located at the corner of University Boulevard and Campus Drive West/ 12th Avenue.

I was able to check out the Tuscaloosa Mooyah before the restaurant officially opened its doors. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. My lunch at Mooyah was so awesome that it would behoove me (#cowpuns4eva #sorrynotsorry) not to share a few photos with y'all.

Check out these shots of the inside of the restaurant--I love that they've paid attention to so many details and how they've incorporated so many iconic Tuscaloosa photos onto the design elements.

They have a cute little chalkboard area where kids can draw--as a parent, I appreciate anything that can placate a hungry child. (Meg Summers/TSM)

FRIES, Y'ALL! I got a mix of half sweet potato fries and regular fries, and they were perfect. (Meg Summers/TSM)

Full disclosure: I also got a milkshake with peanut butter cups in it, but that bad boy did not last long enough for me to take a photo (read: I drank it all. And if it weren't for common decency and my not being raised in a barn, this probably would have happened to my coworkers.)

Mooyah Burgers, Fries, and Shakes opens at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2016. Their hours of operation will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays-Wednesdays and 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Thurdays-Saturdays. For more info, check out their website.
