Most area motorists have asked at one time or another:  Whose idea was it to do construction on ALL main Tuscaloosa roadways at the same time?

We know that the work will result in improved roads and traffic flow, but it’s still a bit frustrating.  Unfortunately, that frustration won’t be coming to an end any time soon for commuters in the Highway 69 S area.

According to WVUA 23, additional improvements are set to be made along Alabama Highway 69 S, where right turning lanes will be added.  Much needed, but what’s going to be blocked while this happens?  Will it be the current, newly added right lane?  That wouldn’t make much sense, as pre-existing right turn lanes were extended into regular traffic lanes and opened as such. Will they now be temporarily closed? If so, 69 S goes back to 2 lanes, right?  Seems like it would have made more sense to do it all at once.

Oh well.  Good luck to area commuters.
