The advent of new name, image and likeness rules involving NCAA athletes has allowed college athletes to monetize their platforms in partnership with companies and brands. The University of Alabama has already seen several athletes already striking deals with brands like Milo's, Cashapp and Yoke Gaming.

The next athlete to strike a deal is one of the Crimson Tide's newest basketball players. Alabama sophomore guard Nimari Burnett announced via Twitter today that he would be partnering with Degree to share his journey. Degree is a popular hygiene brand that specializes in deodorant.

Burnett was rated a 4-star prospect by 247Sports and went to play at Texas Tech. He was considered the No. 8 player in the state of Illinois and the No. 6 combo-guard in the class of 2020. While in Lubbock, he appeared in 12 games for the Red Raiders, averaging 5.3 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-4 guard chose Texas Tech over offers from Alabama, Michigan and Oregon.

He left the Texas Tech program in January to enter the transfer portal and the second time around the Tide got its man. Burnett opted for the Capstone over LSU, Auburn, Illinois, Oregon Vanderbilt and USC.

He will be one of three McDonald's All-Americans to suit up for the Tide, joining Jahvon Quinerly and JD Davison. They are three of the 14 McDonald's All-Americans to suit up for the Crimson Tide program.
