Nicki Minaj Defends Kenneth Petty Relationship, Says You Can’t Buy ‘Good Sex’
Nicki Minaj is done with sitting back while critics pick apart her relationship with Kenneth "Zoo" Petty.
The rapper defended her relationship with the convicted felon on Friday's (July 26) episode of Queen Radio on Beats 1, arguing that Petty, who she first met when she was 15 years old, was in her life long before she was famous.
"When a person is with a n---a that loved them before they had a dime in their pocket? How do you not understand that? How do you not understand happiness vs clout? How f--king dare you talk about lowering standards," she shared.
Minaj added that money could not buy her the "happiness and good sex" she shares with Petty.
She goes on, "Hoes are selling p---y to the highest bidder, these b---hes lowering they standards selling p---y for a check? You h--s [need] to wake up," she continued.
Minaj also referred to Petty as her "soulmate," the same day rumors circulated that the musician might be pregnant.
Ever since Minaj and Petty went public with their relationship on Instagram in December 2018, the rapper has faced heavy criticism due to Petty's status as a registered sex offender.
According to TMZ, Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in April 1995. He also reportedly pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter following the 2002 shooting of a man named Lamont Robinson. He subsequently served 7 years in prison.
