Non-Profit Offers Free Prom Dresses
Besides graduation, the highlight of high school is prom. But prom comes with its own expenses. In addition to purchasing tickets, there's the added costs of getting hair done and of course, the dress!
Prom is very memorable but quite costly. Luckily, some recognize this and have decided to assist in alleviating the strain on parents' pockets. One such entity is the nonprofit organization Hope with Grace.
Hope with Grace will hold its Fourth Annual Prom Dress Giveaway on Saturday, March 3. The event will be held at Division of Youth Services (1608 7th Avenue North, Birmingham, AL 35203) from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Chrys Hill, the event's organizer, says that no one will be turned away. So, those in need of a dress are welcome to attend. And if there are some with formal dresses they no longer have use for, feel free to donate them to the cause. Because this is a nonprofit organization, the donation of a dress will be tax deductible.
