The Northport Citizen of the Year, Inc. announced the 45th Annual Northport Citizen of the Year Luncheon. According to the events Facebook Page they are thanking everyone for their “consideration over the last two years as we have postponed the event twice due to concerns over COVID-19.”

The event that celebrates “those who help make Northport a great place to live, work and enjoy” will take place on Thursday, October 6 from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Northport Civic Center. Ellen Woodward Potts, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Tuscaloosa will be the keynote speaker.

Nominations are being accepted now until Wednesday, August 31 at 5 p.m. for the following categories:

Citizen of the Year

Business Leader

Education Leader

Historian/Pioneer

Public Safety Leader

Religious Leader

How to Nomination Someone

“Nomination forms will be available online or at Northport 5&10.” Those nominations will be accepted either online or at Northport 5&10 until Wednesday, August 31 at 5 p.m.

Interested in Attending the Luncheon

Tickets are $30 for individuals and corporate tables are $225 and $30 for individual tickets. Tickets will be available online or at Northport 5&10.
