It's officially December and the City of Northport has a special event planned for the public. Get the family ready because you don't want to miss this event.

The first annual Holiday Open House will be held at Northport City Hall on Thursday, Dec 16 from 6p-9p. This family-friendly event will feature holiday favorites like hot chocolate and cookies for all to enjoy.

There are plenty of special guests invited to this historic event. For all those who are truly in the holiday spirit, get ready to see Mr. and Mrs. Claus! They've both officially accepted an invitation to come to share some hot chocolate and cookies with the guests in attendance.

With the temperature dropping a little outside, it could be a sign of weather to come on Dec 16th. Added special guests Elsa, Anna, and Olaf will be in attendance and maybe they could bring a little snow for the evening. Who knows!

As if you needed more reasons to show up, there is a rumor that the Grinch may even make an appearance.

You can count on the Tuscaloosa County high Choir to be out caroling and Northport City leaders will be leading storytime.
