NWS Issues Flood Warning for Several Alabama Rivers
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued “Flood Warnings” that include some of the Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa coverage areas which are Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, and Walker counties.
Please proceed with caution if you encounter a flooded area or road. The National Weather Service in Birmingham reminds us that “most flood deaths occur in vehicles.” Be sure to turn around and don’t drown.
Black Warrior River
Black Warrior River At Selden Lock and Dam affecting Greene, Marengo, and Hale Counties. This “Flood Warning” is from now until early Tuesday morning.
Chickasawhay
Chickasawhay at Leakesville affects Greene, Wayne, and George Counties. This “Flood Warning” is until further notice.
Sucarnoochee River
Sucarnoochee River at Livingston affects Sumter County. This “Flood Warning” is from now until early Thursday morning.
Tombigbee River
Tombigbee River At Demopolis Lock and Dam affecting Greene, Marengo, Sumter, and Hale Counties. This “Flood Warning” is from Monday afternoon to late Thursday evening.
Tombigbee River At Bevill Lock and Dam affecting Greene, Pickens, and Sumter Counties. This “Flood Warning” is from now until early Wednesday morning.
