Oak City Market Helps Local Ministry Aid Tuscaloosa Families
Tuscaloosa's Oak City Market, a charity event with a flea market atmosphere, is returning for its second year to help benefit S.D. Allen Ministries, a local nonprofit organization that has served more than 2,000 families since 2014.
According to a press release “Oak City Market is looking to expand upon the ministry’s local outreach during its second year. In addition to raising money for local families in need, Oak City Market also brings community members and local businesses together through an inclusive event that is free to all who visit.”
The event will be this Saturday, August 27th, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the North Parking Lot of Calvary Baptist Church. The Oak City Market includes “pop-up shops, food trucks, live entertainment, and a raffle including Alabama Football Season tickets and Atlanta Braves ticket packages,” said the Press Release.
More About S.D. Allen Ministries
This community-based ministry is known for the hashtag #offthefloor. The “S.D. Allen Ministries is a collective furniture donation and delivery ministry, a student missionary program, and Rehab & Repair Ministry started by Calvary Baptist Church in 2013.”
How was the Ministry Created?
