According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, “the next system will bring showers and storms to the region from early to middle of next week. There are signals that conditions will become favorable for some severe thunderstorms on Tuesday with a risk for a few tornadoes and damaging winds.”

James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said that the Storm Prediction Center “has defined a severe weather threat for most of the state as a rather dynamic weather system will be moving through. Expect rain at times along with a few thunderstorms; storms will be capable of producing strong winds, and a few isolated tornadoes will be possible.”
