It's 6PM, and I'm about to go on air. I'm in my office jamming out to Rhythm of the Night by Debarge. This song really just put me in the best mood I've felt all day.

It's been a trying day.

It's the day after the most craziest election I've been alive to see. The people I know and love are hurting. It's so many mixed emotions, which is why I tried my best to stay off of social media, which was a total fail.

I tried to laugh it away, but nothing helped. Trump spent his entire campaign making fun of minorities and the disabled. But his hate speech garnered the attention and backing of quiet racists. The type of racist we went to school with and keep in contact with on Facebook.

But now that Trump is president, what do we do from here?

The first thing is to come to grips that he is our leader. No social media post can change the outcome

Secondly, to keep doing what you're doing - as long as it's positive.

Be the change you want to see in your community.
