The National Weather Service in Birmingham AL has issued a Flood Warning for the Sucarnoochee River at Livingston affecting Sumter County valid at Jun 17, 10:20 AM CDT till Jun 20, 8:38 AM CDT

Every day this week Alabama has faced severe weather with multiple rounds. Today will be no different as we are faced with 2 rounds.
We are monitoring an active weather system that has made its way from Central and South Mississippi into Southwest Alabama this morning. Round 1 could impact Sumter and a good portion of Greene, Hale, and Perry counties.
Also, be mindful of the second round later this afternoon has the Townsquare Media coverage area between a “slight” risk and a “marginal” risk.

Where: Southwest portions of Central Alabama
When: Through 9 a.m.
Threats: Damaging winds up to 70 mph and large hail
Friday Round 2
Where: Much of Central Alabama
When: 2 pm. through midnight
Threats: Damaging winds up to 60 mph and large hail
