Rams Bounce Back At Home
Hamilton was completely smothered by Northside on Friday evening as the Rams kept their home win streak alive, comfortably, by a score of 36-0.
Fall weather finally washed over an evening of Friday night lights in the state of Alabama as the Rams added an unexacting win to the campaign, bringing NHS to 4-1
Northside stuck with its strength to open the evening as the Rams handed the ball off eight times, in the opening drive alone, to junior running back Jace McNutt. However, it seemed as offensive dominance wasn’t the only game plan from Northside as its defense didn’t allow an Aggie first down until the third quarter.
On the defensive performance, Northside head coach Chris Hilliker stated, “The defense has been carrying us this year so far, the first half of the year and we were counting on them to get it done….”
Jace McNutt’s powerhouse production was key for the Northside offense, accounting for 186 yards of total offense along with three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving).
When asked about his starting running back, Jace McNutt, Hilliker commented, “He’s a great player, he’s a great player on both sides of the ball. We ask him to do a lot, but he’s been up to the challenge so far.”
The Hamilton Aggies now go 3-1-1 on the season and will see the undefeated Wellborn Panthers next week. For Northside, a week of rest as the bye week comes before game six. The Rams next matchup come is a road test on Oct. 2 when they take on the Fayette County Tigers in another region duel.
