It's been a while since R&B singer Christopher Williams has been in the news. Best known for the 1991 song "I'm Dreamin," the singer is now making headlines for a recent arrest.

According to a report from TMZ, Williams was arrested on Saturday when he was caught at Kohl's in McDonough, Georgia, stealing a pair of JBL headphones. Sources claim the singer walked in carrying a tote bag and wearing a baseball hat. Williams proceeded to the back of the store and threw a pair of $99 JBL headphones into his bag.

When Williams tried to walk out of the store, he was stopped by security. The singer reportedly told security he forgot he placed the headphones in his bag. Williams was arrested and booked with petty theft, a misdemeanor. He was released a few hours later.

In 1991, Williams' "I'm Dreamin'" was featured on the New Jack City soundtrack and made it to No. 1 on the Billboard R&B chart (he also appeared in the film). Williams also found success with the songs "Talk to Myself" and "Every Little Thing U Do." Additionally, Williams occasionally appeared on season 6 of Real Housewives of Atlanta.
