According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, "a storm system will move into the area today, bringing windy conditions with risks for localized flooding north and west with a severe weather risk south and central today through early Thursday morning."

The NWS in Birmingham has issued a Flood Advisory for Greene, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa [AL] till Dec 14, 9:00 PM CST

SPC upgrades Southwest Alabama to a “moderate risk” (level 4/5) this afternoon and early tonight… tornadoes, including the possibility of strong and long-track tornadoes, are the primary concern," said Spann.
