Roydell Williams signed his letter of intent to join the Alabama Crimson Tide today. December 18 is the first day high school seniors can officially sign with their new college programs. Williams is a four star running back out of Hueytown High School in Hueytown, Alabama. Williams is rated the ninth best running back prospect in the country and the third best prospect in the state of Alabama.

The Crimson Tide offered Williams a scholarship in February of 2018, and he committed to the Tide in November of 2018. Williams, standing at 5’10” and 202 pounds, has rushed for almost 6,000 yards at Hueytown High School, clearing 1,200 yards each of the last three years. He has scored 84 career rushing touchdowns. Williams was named Second-Team All-State for Class 6A as a sophomore and made the first team as a junior in 2018. He was named to the Alabama roster for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game.

“It’s one of my dream schools. One of the top schools in the country. You see a lot of running backs in the league that came from Alabama, just a big dream that I always wanted to go to Alabama,” Williams said.

Williams was primarily recruited by running backs coach Charles Huff and defensive backs coach Karl Scott. He will enroll in Tuscaloosa in January for the spring semester.
