At noon on Independence Day, 4-star athlete Antonio Kite decided to commit to Nick Saban and the Tide for the coming 2022 recruiting class.

Kite is listed as a 6-foot-1 athlete (ATH) out of Anniston High School in Anniston, Alabama, and was recruited by Alabama's receiving coach Holmon Wiggins. For the Bulldogs in the 2020-2021 season, however, Kite made significant contributions at safety and on offense as a receiver.

On the basketball court, Kite was a part of the Alabama 4A State Championship team for the Anniston Bulldogs which brought the school its first boys basketball state title in over a decade.

Other notable offers for the senior include Florida State, Georgia, Mississippi State, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.

For the 2022 Alabama recruiting class, Kite is the sixth 4-star to commit to Saban and ninth overall. Kite is the second commit listed as an ATH (athlete) after the announcement from 3-star Amari Niblack in late June.

Following the Kite commitment, Alabama Football's 2022 recruiting class ranks 13th nationally and 4th among SEC schools, according to 247Sports.
