
Severe Weather in Alabama Brings Destruction, Loss of Life
As the Townsquare Media staff was closely monitoring the potential for severe weather in our area, our hearts sank when were made aware of catastrophic damage in Mississippi due to a tornado emergency.
These nighttime storms created devastating tornadoes, and as that storm system swept over Mississippi with fury, it was aiming for Alabama. It brought tons of property damage and a loss of life in the Yellowhammer State.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said that “one death is being reported in Morgan County from last night's storm. A gentleman that was trapped when his trailer was blown over into a tree was freed by responders but passed from his injuries, according to a family member.”
The National Weather Service in Huntsville will be sending “three survey teams today to assess damage across north AL and southern middle TN after last night's storms.
Lauderdale County Alabama in the Florence and Killen areas
Morgan County Alabama
Lincoln County Tennessee in the Fayetteville area
