Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday Is Last Weekend In February

Living in Alabama is one of the greatest pleasures in life. The weather is generally mild in winter and hot in summer. But with the great weather we enjoy,we also have to endure the 'other side' of it.....severe weather.

With it coming up on the 5th anniversary of the April tornadoes we must always be vigilant in our preparation for severe weather.

From just after midnight on Feb 26th. thru midnight Feb 28th. the Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday will be going on.

It will be a chance for residents to save the sales tax on most items needed to make your own Severe Weather Preparedness Emergency kits.

The Alabama Department of Revenue has list of cities and counties participating.
