Spike Lee ‘She’s Gotta Have It’ Sets Netflix Premiere With First Teaser
Netflix may be pretty quick with cancellations these days, but surely Spike Lee remaking his feature film debut She’s Gotta Have It has a fighting chance, right? The new series not only has its first official teaser, but a late November premiere date as well.
Featuring Shots Fired star DeWanda Wise in the lead role of Nola Darling (originally played by Tracy Camilla Johns), Spike Lee’s new Netflix series sets a Thanksgiving 2017 premiere in its first teaser, that of Thursday, November 23. The ten-episode dramedy re-imagines Lee’s 1986 film in a contemporary setting, featuring Hamilton star Anthony Ramos in the role Lee originally played, Mars Blackmon.
