So, I'm producing the Tom Joyner line which tells us what to expect for the show tomorrow, right?  And guess what I happen to hear.... "Tomorrow on the big show: Actor Hugh Jackman, Comedian Steve Brown....."  I don't know what he said after that because I was too busy losing my mind!
I don't know of anyone who has been in West Alabama for a significant amount of time and does not know of Steve Brown.  Steve was born and raised in Tuscaloosa.  Some would say he's always been a clown, but my relationship with Steve only goes back 5 years or so. Therefore, I wouldn't know.  But what I do know is that the man is funny.... And that he loves Tuscaloosa!

Steve has been providing us with great comedy shows for a long time.  I know I used to go to the Jade on Tuesday nights.  Remember that spot? Yeah, I used to lie like I was part owner. But yeah, I know for a fact he was bringing great shows way back then.

And just like he brought us entertainment, he began traveling and performing for people in other areas.  His popularity increased to the degree that his family decided to make the move to an area that was more conducive for his goals.  Steve has been showcased on numerous national comedy shows, and he even performed on Tom Joyner's Fantastic Voyage Cruise.  Yet, his love for Tuscaloosa causes him to continue to provide us with entertainment every month with his Funny First Fridays at Archibald and Woodrow's in addition to his annual show at the Bama Theater for Stillman College's Homecoming.

As luck would have it, this year, Stillman's Homecoming is on the first Friday of October! Quickly approaching! And the excitement is CRAZY! All of the Stillman alumni that have moved away come back and fill every seat that wasn't sold in advance. So, locals already know to get their tickets early.

With the annual show being just one week away, it's going to be interesting to hear what Steve has to say on the Tom Joyner Morning Show. So, you better believe I'll be listening.  You should, too!
