Stillman College Raises Over $35,000 For Stillman Giving Day

How's this for good news in Tuscaloosa. Stillman College announced they raised a HUGE amount of money for their inaugural giving day.

Stillman College's Giving Day is a 1,876-minute fundraising and celebration effort. It was the first college-wide giving event that challenges students, alumni, staff, faculty, parents, and friends to imagine more for Stillman College and the programs near to their hearts.

Giving day went from November 4th-5th. In that short amount of time, Stillman College students, alumni, faculty, and staff were able to raise  $35,500.00! Wow! That's a huge accomplishment.

A post on the Stillman College Facebook page celebrated the accomplishment thanking all who gave and participated. "You made our first Giving Day a huge success. We can't thank you all enough for your generous donations. Thanks to your donations, we can continue to support our community and provide future students with opportunities to gain a quality education and succeed in their future endeavors."

Great job to the Stillman College family!

I can't lie, I felt a little bias towards my fraternity brothers, Alpha Phi Alpha. They were able to raise over $7,000 for giving day. You know us Alphas always have to show out! Lol! Shoutout to those Devastating Divas of Delta Sigma Theta for raising $2,500! Great job ladies!

Coming from an HBCU, I know how important these fundraisers are to the institution. It not only shows school spirit and gives you something to be proud of, but it helps current students, and alumni alike at Stillman College. Go Tigers!
