Mercedes-Benz US International will halt production at its plant in Vance next week because of a supply chain shortage, according to a report from AL.com.

The news comes mere weeks after MBUSI was able to restart production on April 27th following three weeks of inactivity caused by the COIVD-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The parts shortage will leave the factory without the components necessary to complete vehicles, and a spokesperson told AL.com they will have to work through a planned shutdown this summer to get back on track after the two unexpected breaks in production.
