T-Town Witches Ride Goes Virtual
The Arc of Tuscaloosa is known for its annual “T-Town Witches Ride." The whimsical Halloween tradition will continue to help raise money for The Arc of Tuscaloosa County. I love this. They are not letting 2020 steal any of their hocus pocus. “Instead of our traditional bike ride through downtown Tuscaloosa, we’re going VIRTUAL!”
The Arc of Tuscaloosa County has been “serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Tuscaloosa County and beyond since 1957.” The T-Town Witches Ride proceeds “will continue to provide transportation for the individuals we serve.”
Earlier this year, I visited The Arc of Tuscaloosa County to learn more about their organization. I was amazed by the leadership, staff, and individuals they serve. I can’t wait to visit again after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Click here to go directly to the event page to purchase your tickets before the end of the month. $20 per witch or $40 per family (only one witch per family).
Then let the magic of the season take over. “Instead of all meeting together in one place together, we are “social distancing” with everyone doing their own ride. You and your friends or family ride together in your neighborhood, park or any place of your choosing ANY time the month of October,” from the events Facebook Page.
Be sure to snap your photos because The Arc of Tuscaloosa County will be giving away prizes to those registered. You will need to send your videos and pictures to their Facebook Contest. The categories are Best Witch, Best Broomcycle, and Best Group! Voting will take place from Friday, October 30th thru Saturday, October 31st!
