The 2020 college football season has been quite a ride and its nearly over as most of the country enters the final week of the regular season. The College Football Playoff Committee has released its third edition of its rankings tonight and gave a glimpse of what the final edition will look like.
The College Football Playoff Committee released the second edition of the 2020 playoff poll tonight and the Alabama Crimson Tide remained locked into the No. 1 spot. Alabama took down its arch-rival Auburn 42-13 last week and will travel to Baton Rouge to play LSU this coming week.
With the threshold for qualifying for the Big 10 Championship being that six games must be played, it begs the question: What would happen if Ohio State was forced to miss the championship?
The No. 1 ranked Clemson Tigers had their yearly close win against an unranked team in the disappointing Atlantic Coast Conference. After squeaking out a win from a then 4-2 Boston College squad, it’s clear to me that a competitive 2020 College Football Playoff shouldn’t include the Clemson Tigers.
