Mayor Walt Maddox is mad. It should make everyone in Tuscaloosa mad. Especially when it's so repetitive. Again and again, the same offenders are commiting violent acts and after getting bailed out, they do it again.

The family of 16-year-old Xzorian Gray called his Tuesday night killing a "senseless murder" and decried the epidemic of gun violence amid young people in Tuscaloosa.

A suspect has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in a shooting at Hay Court Apartments earlier this month.

One person is dead after a shooting near The Strip in Tuscaloosa early Friday morning, and a 22-year-old is now facing murder charges.
