The West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force arrested a Mississippi man and charged him with promoting prostitution Tuesday, according to a press release from the Tuscaloosa Police Department.

Lt. Darren Beams said officers conducted an undercover operation at the Masters Inn in the 3600 block of McFarland Boulevard Tuesday and developed probable cause to charged 37-year-old Torian Bryson Brown with second-degree felony promoting prostitution.

Beams said police also discovered Brown, who is from Indianola, Mississippi, had illegally obtained credit card information from individuals in multiple states, including California and Wisconsin.

Brown was arrested and placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, and Beams said additional charges are pending.
