Teenager in Critical Condition after shooting in Tuscaloosa Tuesday
Two teenagers were wounded and one is in critical condition after a shooting at a Tuscaloosa apartment complex Tuesday night.
Captain Kip Hart, the assistant commander of the Tuscaloosa County Violent Crimes Unit, said the Tuscaloosa Police Department was called to Hay Court Apartments on 21st Street around 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
Hart said officers found a 17-year-old woman shot in the leg and a 19-year-old woman shot in the head.
Both were taken to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment, and the 19-year-old remained in critical condition early Wednesday morning.
Hart said investigators were able to identify persons of interest in the cast after recovering several items of evidentiary value around the crime scene and interviewing witnesses, but no arrests have been made so far.
Hart asked anyone with information on the shooting to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 205-464-8690 or CrimeStoppers at 205-752-7867.
