A law creating a nationwide alert system for missing adults between the ages of 18 and 64 is now in effect!

I know everyone is is familiar with the Amber Alert, which is an alert for minors that are 17 years old or younger.  There's also another alert called the Silver Alert, this alert is for people that are 65 years old and older.

As you can see, there was never an alert for people between the age of 18 and 64, until now!

It's called the Ashanti Alert. The Ashanti Alert Act

The alert was named after Ashanti Billie, a 19-year-old from Maryland that disappeared in 2017 from a Virginia fast food restaurant where she was working. Her body was found in North Carolina two weeks after she disappeared. At the time she disappeared, she was too old for one alert and too young for the other alert.

Thanks to Ashanit's parents nonstop hard work, The U.S. Senate has unanimously passed a bill that for finding missing adults and was signed into law last week by Donald Trump.
