Danielle Kimbrough, a provisional member of The Junior League of Tuscaloosa said that “The Junior League of Tuscaloosa is committed to improving our communities. This event offers children and their families the opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of vehicles from various professional backgrounds, with the goal of introducing them to exciting career paths. We believe this is a great way to bring a fun-filled family event to the community, while also providing an educational component.”
According to the press release, “Touch-A-Truck is a FREE community event. Donations are welcome and all proceeds will be used to provide mental health kits for the Boys and Girls Club of West Alabama.” In addition, this event is presented by the provisional class of the Junior League of Tuscaloosa.
“The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama is an important community partner that offers a critical service to our area’s youth. Through this partnership, we learned that there is a need to enhance mental health support in the clubs and knew this was an opportunity for us to assist. We feel strongly that providing mental health kits will ensure that the local counselors have the support they need to help participants who may be struggling,” said Kimbrough.
