Now here is a holiday that I can get behind. Happy National Margarita Day to you!  It is no secret; I love Margaritas.  My good friend even nicknamed me, “Sister Mary Margarita.”  [Insert laughs here]

It turns out it, my very first Tuscaloosa Margarita in 2019 was at the Tuscaloosa Taco Mama. It’s such a great place!  I remember that day.  I felt like it was my lucky day because I found parking within a few feet of this taco and margarita dynasty.

The energy of this spot was really impressive, everyone was friendly, patrons were cool, and Marvin Gaye “Got to Get It Up” was setting the mood. Is it wrong to mention the cuties that are always at Taco Mama? Can we say EYE CANDY?????

Back to my love of the margarita!

The drink menu has so many choices like the Mercedes, Jose Jalapeno, Houdini Frozen, and more.  That day, I decided on the Watermelon Margarita, which was served on the rocks!  FRESH Watermelon chunks were muddled, along with triple sec, lime juice, and Pepe Lopez silver tequila.  I never had this tequila before, so I was very intrigued.

TAKE ME TO SUMMER RIGHT NOW!

Even though the Watermelon Margarita is seasonal. I am going on record that my favorite Margarita in Tuscaloosa goes to the Taco Mama on University Boulevard in downtown Tuscaloosa and their Watermelon Margarita. My sneaky link margarita is my runner-up which is the Jalapeno!
