This Alabama Small Town Was Named One on the “Coolest” in the US
Living anywhere has its pros and cons.
On one side there is the thrill of living in a big city. In medium-sized locations, you can find that you have the best of both an "almost" large city feel and the connection of a small town. However, the comfort of a small town is unmatched.
According to Debt, there are “7 financial pros and cons of living in a small town.”
Pro: Lower cost of living
Con: Fewer job opportunities
Pro: Cheaper housing
Con: Fewer entertainment choices
Con: You’ll need a car
Pro: Lower auto and home insurance rates
Con: Higher airfares
I fully understand these pros and cons, but an Alabama Town just made Far & Wide’s, “America’s Coolest Small Towns” list. In researching this town, it beats all the cons on the above list.
Let me introduce you to Magnolia Springs, which looks like a town made for a Hallmark movie.
It’s “located along the Magnolia River. Magnolia Springs dates back to 1800 and is mere minutes from Mobile, Alabama. This isn't a suburb, however. No, this is a sleepy town of adorable houses and canopies of oak trees, azaleas, wisteria, dogwoods, and, of course, magnolia trees,” said Far & Wide.
