Three Automotive Suppliers To Lay Off 300 Workers in Cottondale, Northport

Three automotive suppliers in Tuscaloosa County have announced rounds of layoffs that will eliminate 300 jobs.

Since we first reported 118 pending layoffs at Faurecia Seating in Cottondale, two more area automotive suppliers have posted WARN notices with Alabama Department of Commerce altering them of additional cuts.

Eberspächer in Northport said they will lay off 127 workers beginning June 7th. Inteva Products posted notice the same day that they will lay off 56 people at their facility in Cottondale around the same time.

This brings the combined impact of the three layoffs to 301 jobs lost in Tuscaloosa County.
