Today Is A Rare Palindrome
Today Is A Rare Palindrome
Honestly, I’ve never heard nor shall I say, paid attention to the idea of palindromes. No matter how you look at palindromes, it’s pretty cool. According to Time and Date, “A Palindrome Day happens when the day’s date can be read the same way backward and forward.” In the United States, we format our dates as a month, day, and year, and that means today is a Palindrome Day, February 2, 2020, is 02-02-2020. According to CNN, “This is the only time such date will occur this century. The previous palindrome date in all formats came 909 years ago on 11/11/1111. The next will come in 1010 years on 12/12/2121.” Be sure to enjoy the palindrome today because USA Today interviewed University of Portland professor, Aziz Inan that is this is a pretty rare palindrome because “Sunday’s date is an international palindrome: It works whether you write the date as Month/Day/Year or Day/Month/Year as many countries do.”
So, however you look at it, enjoy February 2, 2020, which is 02-02-2020 - which is Palindrome Day!
