Tuscaloosa, Alabama College Xperience Helps Students Navigate University Life
Founded in 2009, The College Xperience was designed to serve as an outlet for college students in the West Alabama area. It is a connection for students that attend the University of West Alabama, Shelton State Community College, Stillman College, and The University of Alabama.
Founder Kevin Croom said that “it is an important organization because we are passionate about creating equitable opportunities that allow our student to rewrite their own narratives.”
The College Xperience meets on the campus of The University of Alabama every Wednesday at 7 p.m. Not only is it a connection for students, but it is also uplifting as well. Students from the various institutions engage in small group discussions, a real talk bible study, community service projects, and mentoring campaigns that allow them to use their gifts to better serve West Alabama while here in school.
Ask yourself the following, or if you are a parent, be sure to send this to your college student.
Are you a college student looking to meet new friends?
Do you have a voice that needs to be heard and wants to be heard to bring about change on your campus?
Are you looking to be part of a special group of people that will feel like a family away from home?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should check out The College Xperience. The group meets on Wednesdays at the University of Alabama at Lloyd Hall in room 38 at 7 p.m. For more details, click here to follow their Instagram page.
