Tuscaloosa County Health Department Hosts Drive-Thru Seasonal Flu Vaccination Clinic
The Tuscaloosa County Health Department is hosting a Drive-Thru Seasonal Flu Vaccination Clinic on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon or until supplies are exhausted.
The drive-thru clinic will take place at the Tuscaloosa County Health Department parking lot, located at 2350 Hargrove Road East, Tuscaloosa, 35405. They are asking that you please wear short-sleeved shirts to make the process easier for you.
Flu season runs from October through May, and the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) notes that “getting a flu vaccine is more important than ever during the 2021-2022 flu season to protect yourself and the people around you from flu, and to help reduce the strain on healthcare systems responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.” The ADPH is also encouraging that Alabamians take 3 actions to fight the flu.

Those who have Medicaid, Medicare Part B, or Blue Cross/Blue Shield will be free. You will need to have your active Medicaid, Medicare Part B, or Blue Cross/Blue Shield card with you. For all others, the seasonal flu vaccination will be $10.00.
