Last year the outreach program addressed “Tuscaloosa’s problem with gun violence, drugs, and other crimes amongst our youth and young adults.” Area churches banned together and organized their communities to address those issues.

Deborah Minor, Program Coordinator, in a press release said that the group is “moving to expand this effort this year by inviting more churches, civic groups, and community ministries to join us in this effort.”

You can join the  Tuscaloosa Outreach Program at Stillman College on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at Stinson Auditorium for an organizational and strategy meeting.  Please bring your designated coordinator or ministry team.

Rising Star Character Students of the Month

During the 2022-2023 school year, Tuscaloosa City Schools, along with Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa, Legal Services of Alabama and Child Abuse Prevention Services, will highlight Rising Star Character Students of the Month from each school in the district, highlighting two to three students each month.
