Tuscaloosa Police Arrest 3 Women for Prostitution at Massage Parlor
Three women have been arrested for prostitution stemming from a four-month undercover operation into a massage parlor by Tuscaloosa Police.
The investigation into A1 Therapy and Spa began in October of 2014 after police saw advertisements for prostitution on Backpage.com. A few ads for that business remain on that classifieds website.
Officers made their first arrest on October 21 when Eun Sook Kim, 45, of Duluth, Ga., was charged with one count of failing to have a license to practice massage therapy and released on a $1,000 bond.
Hee Kyeong Yi, 51, of Duluth, Ga., was charged one count of soliciting prostitution and one count of failing to have a license to practice massage therapy on December 19 and released on $2,000 bond.
Chong Chu Kwak, 58, of Tucker, Ga., was charged on February 19 with the same two counts as Yi. She was also released on $2,000 bond.
According to the Tuscaloosa Police, there will be a public hearing on March 24 to decide whether the A1 Therapy and Spa business license should be revoked.
