Two teenagers were wounded in a drive-by shooting in Tuscaloosa Thursday evening, investigators said Friday.

Captain Kip Hart, the assistant commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said the victims, a 19-year-old male and a 16-year-old female, were walking down Elm Street near Kaulton Park when a black car drove by and someone inside the vehicle opened fire.

The 19-year-old was shot in the leg and the 16-year-old was hit in her foot. Both were taken to DCH for treatment of injuries that Hart said were not life-threatening.

The investigation is still underway, but Hart said at this time police do not have a description of the shooter and don't know what their motive may have been.

More information will be released as it becomes available.
