Roll Tide: UA Alumni Association Hosts Annual Fall Kick-Off Event

The Tuscaloosa County Chapter of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association is getting ready to roll with the tide at their annual fall kick-off event.

Tuscaloosa County Chapter President, Barkley Garrett said that “Our rich history and strong traditions are like no other and the energy and enthusiasm of our alumni and fans is unmatched. If you are an alum, parent, or fan, this is where you need to be. This is a great way for our local alumni and fans to get ready for the upcoming season.”

Annual Fall Kick-Off Event

The family friend event will be held on Thursday, August 17 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the SkyGate Club of the WestGate Luxury Condominiums. You can expect a pep rally, door prizes, and other guest speakers. Also, there will be a silent auction of items like autographed sports memorabilia and more.

“We are excited to offer our alumni and fans a unique opportunity to see Bryant-Denny Stadium from one of the best locations in town,” said Garrett. The guest speaker will be The University of Alabama Director of Athletics, Greg Byrne who has been with the program since 2017.

“Proceeds from the event go to the Tuscaloosa County Scholarship Fund,” according to a press release from The Tuscaloosa County Chapter of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association.

Ticket Details

Alumni chapter membership is not required. This event is open to alumni, parents, and fans.

Tickets for the event entrance and dinner are $35.

Tickets for children ages 4 – 10 are $15 and ages 3 and under are free.

A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $55 for adults, $35 for children ages 4 – 10, and $15 for ages 3 and under. The VIP tickets include a tour of Bryant Denny Stadium before the Kick-Off Event. The tour starts at 4:15 PM.
