Each year, we are encouraged to get the flu vaccine. However, many people opt to surpass the opportunity in favor of fighting off the disease should they happen to get it, not because they were injected with it.

The fact of the matter is that flu vaccines are largely based on previous strains of the flu, which may or may not be the strain that circulates the following year; but according to ABC 33/40, UAB Internal Medicine Specialist Doctor William Curry says that flu vaccines will better match flu strains this year.
