University Of West Alabama Gets A Grant Just In Time To Help Rural Alabama

Education is a Funny thing, we talk about how it's so desperately needed in so many places around the country and in the state. How without help so many kids won't ave a chance. This is the case for not just the Big Schools like Alabama or Auburn, but smaller schools that's right here in West Alabama and the University of West Alabama.

They were only one of four institutions to receive a three Million dollar Grant from the U.S. Department of Teachers education. They will receive the grant over a three year period and use it specifically for students from Rural parts of Alabama's Black Belt region to hire new teachers and better the education experience for students.

Rural always seems to mean a lack of Opportunity, that needs to stop and awarding this grant is just the beginning for a area that desperately needs it.
