According to TMZ, Love & Hip Hop cast member James R. and Viacom are being sued by music producer Luis Vargas.

Vargas claims that Viacom (the parent company of VH1) and James R. used his song "Bad Girl" on two episodes of season 8.  He's alleging that James R. is trying to pass the track off as his own, and that isn't the case.

Apparently, Vargas says he signed James R. to his Bully Sound Records label and he made the song with James R. However, his record company owns the rights to the track. So when James R. tried to leave the label and take the song with him, it was no-go for Vargas, hence the suit.

Vargas says James R. tried to get around the legal tape by changing the song's name from "Bad Girl" to "Bah Gurl." In the documents, Vargas points to two episodes where the song is played, and James R. even has a release party for the video of the track.

Vargas is now suing for $1 million.
