Weather outlook for the “official” first day of summer (Friday June 21^st)

There is about 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.  High should reach about 95 with a low around 76.  This weekend the highs to reach close to 97!

According to the National Weather Service, Southwest Alabama will experience the hottest heat indexes for the state.  Cities like Mobile could reach a heat index of 108 and already have a heat advisory in effect until 7 pm this evening.
