Flood Watch Remains in Effect for Portions Across West Alabama
The Flood Watch issued by the National Weather Service in Birmingham is still in effect until Tuesday, May 26, 10 p.m.

“It won't rain all day, and it won't necessarily rain everywhere,” said James Spann, Alabama Weather Network Chief Meteorologist. “But the rain will be heavy in spots, and much of the state is under a flood watch through tonight due to the saturated soil conditions.”
Residents in the following West Alabama counties should be aware that excessive runoff may cause flooding in rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying, flood-prone areas.
- Bibb
- Hale
- Perry
- Pickens
- Tuscaloosa
- Walker
Also, “flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
