The Tuscaloosa community is once again coming together to help each other during a time of need. this time, it's about our little ones at Central Elementary and Mathews Elementary schools.

On Friday, August 13th, West Alabama Wholesale will host a back-to-school drive for Central and Matthews Elementary schools. This back-to-school drive will also feature a live DJ, Rojo's Seafood Express food truck, Kee's Kitchen, and other vendors.

West Alabama Wholesale has been collecting school supplies for their back-to-school drive asking for members in the community to drop off pencils, pens, paper, folders, binders, backpacks, calculators, and more. In just a short amount of time, they were able to gather some supplies for the students.

There is still time to donate supplies for this back-to-school drive for Central and Matthews Elementary schools. If you're looking to donate some supplies, you're asked to call (205) 764-5573 or stop by West Alabama Wholesale in Tuscaloosa to drop off your supplies at 3010 Skyland Blvd E, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405.

West Alabama Wholesale employee Tre Lanier took to Facebook live to get the word out about the back-to-school drive. Lanier spoke about the reason for doing this event this week.  "It's not for me, it's for the school," Lanier said. "It's for us reaching out to the school and being a part of this community. Embracing our children and telling them that we care."
