This is my favorite time of the year, Fall! That means the holidays are not far!  Come to think of it, Halloween is less than 3 weeks away!

This Halloween,  you are going to see something a little different! This year, you will see Teal Pumpkins! Just like myself, I'm sure you are wondering, what does a teal pumpkin mean?

If you approach a house with a teal pumpkin on their doorstep, it means they have non-food treats available, such as glow sticks or small toys. This simple act is a kind and thoughtful gesture for trick-or-treaters with food allergies or other conditions.

  1. Provide non-food treats for trick-or-treaters
  2. Place a teal pumpkin in front of your home to indicate to passersby that you have non-food treats available
  3. Add your home to the Teal Pumpkin Project map
  4. Spread the word! Share the Teal Pumpkin Project with your friends and family

With all the food allergies that children have nowadays, I think this is a wonderful and thoughtful idea.
