It’s the south and as the old saying goes, don’t like the weather – just wait 5 minutes. Well, that old-school theory might be proven wrong this Fall in the South.
How Long Will the Heat Stick Around in Alabama?
According to The Weather Channel, the “summer's heat might linger into the start of fall in the central and southern U.S.”
Don’t get too excited about shopping for a cool-weather wardrobe because it looks like the sweater weather timeline might be pushed back for our area.
Fall 2023 Outlook
The Fall 2023 outlook from The Old Farmer’s Almanac highlights Alabama to have an unseasonably warmer than average Fall but also experience “below average precipitation.”
The Old Farmer’s Almanac lists these “regions listed below will be warmer-than-average for this time of year.”
Midwest: The Lower Lakes (region 6), Ohio Valley (7), the Heartland (10), and the Upper Midwest (9)
Southeast (4), Deep South (region 8), and Florida (5)
Texas-Oklahoma (11) and High Plains (12)
Pacific Southwest (16) and Desert Southwest (14)
Alaska (17)
The regions listed below by The Old Farmer’s Almanac will be “cooler-than-average for this time of year.”
