Join WTUG and Coca Cola at the Tuscaloosa River Market from 10 am until 12 pm for  a  “Dear Future Tuscaloosa” event.

Tuscaloosa was chosen as one of 15 cities for a national initiative in which Coca-Cola challenges young adults to come up with ideas to address job skill needs and career readiness.  According to AL.com,  also partnering with Coca-Cola is the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama and West Alabama Works.

“Dear Future Tuscaloosa” encourages young adults to submit their ideas on how to ensure residents are receiving needed job skills training for career opportunities.  The ideas may be submitted online or in person this week through the Dear Future Community Hub, one of which is at the Tuscaloosa River Market.

After the program closes and submissions are evaluated, an award of $30,000 will be made to one change-making idea.  Those with ideas on building a progressive future for our city should definitely enter this competition.
